Note: Be advised that the Gay Street Bridge which brings Route 113 South into Phoenixville is closed for demolition and reconstruction. It is projected to be closed until 2010. If coming into Phoenixville on Route 113 South, there are detours in place that will bring you right to our intersection at Main St. and Bridge Street.

DIRECTIONS

From the East (Philadelphia):
Travel West on route 76 (Schuykill Expressway) Travel West on Route 76 (Schuykill Expressway). In King of Prussia, take Route 422 West. (Exit ramp off 76 W is a 2 lane ramp for 422 West and 202 South. Be sure to be in the right lane) Follow route 422 West to the Phoenixville/Collegeville Exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left towards Phoenixville. You will now be on Route 29. Follow Route 29 across the Schuykill River into Phoenixville (Chester County). After entering Chester County, stay straight. Route 29 will turn left, but you want to continue straight to the 2nd traffic light after the Bridge. At the second traffic light you will see the 3-story historic mural on the side of the Steel City Coffee House building. See below for parking locations.

From the West (Lancaster/Reading):
Travel East on Route 422. Take the Phoenixville/Collegeville exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right. This will be Route 29. Follow Route 29 across the Schuykill River into Phoenixville (Chester County). After entering Chester County, stay straight. Route 29 will turn left, but you want to continue straight to the 2nd traffic light after the Bridge. At the second traffic light you will see the 3-story historic mural on the side of the Steel City Coffee House building. See below for parking locations.

From the South (West Chester/Delaware):
Take 202 North, take the PA 401 Exit. At the end of the ramp turn left. This is route 401. Travel to the second traffic light and turn right onto Old Phoenixville Pike. This turns into Route 29 North. Follow Route 29 North into Phoenixville. When you arrive in Phoenixville, there will be a Sunoco A-plus on your right side and a Pizza shop directly in front of you. Take a left turn onto Nutt Rd. followed by an immediate right onto Main Street. Follow Main Street to the intersection of Bridge Street and you will see Steel City Coffee House on the corner. From the North (Allentown/Bethlehem):
Highways Route: Travel South on the Pennsylvania Turnpike (toll road) to King of Prussia. In King of Prussia, get on 422 West. Follow route 422 West to the Phoenixville/Collegeville Exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left towards Phoenixville. You will now be on Route 29. Follow Route 29 across the Schuykill River into Phoenixville (Chester County). After entering Chester County, stay straight. Route 29 will turn left, but you want to continue straight to the 2nd traffic light after the Bridge. Backroad Route: Travel South on the Pennsylvania Turnpike (toll road) to the Quakertown exit (662). Turn right after you pay the toll and travel to the first traffic light (approximately 2 miles). Turn left at the traffic light. This roadway will turn into Route 29. You will travel south on route 29 for about 1/2 hour. Watch the signs carefully to ensure you stay on Route 29 South as it turns several times in the borough of Collegeville.
Follow Route 29 across the Schuykill River into Phoenixville (Chester County). After entering Chester County, stay straight. Route 29 will turn left, but you want to continue straight to the 2nd traffic light after the Bridge. Parking Locations: On street parking in Phoenixville is free. Please be sure to look for signs limiting parking. There are three (free) public parking lots in the general vicinity of Steel City Coffee House. The first and closest lot is located directly to the rear of Steel City Coffee House (Taylor Avenue Lot). The second lot is located across the street next to the Main Stay Inn (Bridge & Main Lot). The third lot is located behind the businesses on the opposite side of the street (Prospect Street Lot). If there are numerous events going on in town, there are other parking areas available. If all three lots listed above are full, enter the Taylor Avenue lot and travel West behind the row of businesses. There is an additional lot available at the end of Taylor Avenue behind the Dollar Store. The parking lot in front of the old foundary building, located behind our location, is often used for theatre traffic overflow. This is a private lot and we cannot guarantee that the owners will continue to allow that practice.
